Where your fee goes
I don't take a salary from this practice, and I want you to know that plainly, right at the start.
Fees cover the real costs of running it — the booking system, the secure video platform, professional insurance, registration fees. Everything beyond those costs goes to support missionaries serving in a region where the church faces real pressure.
If the fee is out of reach
Please just say so in the consultation. I would truly rather find a number that works for you than have you stay away because of the cost.
No forms, no proof of income needed — just an honest conversation between us. And because I'm not paying myself out of these fees, there's genuinely more room to work with here than most practices have.
Using insurance
Many extended health plans cover counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and I hold both credentials.
If you have coverage, please use it first. Most plans reimburse a percentage of what you actually pay — so a lower fee genuinely means a lower receipt and a lower reimbursement for you. For most people with coverage, the standard rate actually works out better in the end.
If you've used up your annual maximum, or your plan doesn't list RCC or CCC as eligible providers, that's exactly the moment to ask me about a reduced fee.
